Life. Like Cheese Only Not as Much Lactose.
An update from the West Coast.
Life's going well. I find that the days fly by; I went home for Memorial Day weekend, well, the week before that too, and I then realized it had been five months since seeing the family. Such is life, right? At least we have the power of the internet and phones to keep us all in touch (Thanks Cisco!). Other than that, in Michigan, I drank lots of tequila, hung out with friends and family, and made an ass of myself more than once; it was an absolute blast.
My race in Austin, TX, went well in that we didn't crash too badly on the tandem bike ( http://www.brightroom.com/view_user_event.asp?EVENTID=36757&BIB=138&S=230&PWD= and http://www.brightroom.com/view_user_event.asp?EVENTID=36757&BIB=146 ).
With everyone (except some key individuals) being in Chicago next year, I hope to that the next Muddy Buddy trip ends up being there. In that case, you'll all have to 1. Participate 2. Drink heavily all weekend and 3. Ride a scooter. Number three is optional.
I'm looking to move to San Francisco, where the girls don't have a ratio to guys at a fraction roughly 1 to 23. It'd add two hours to my commute, sadly, and I am rather enjoying living by myself at times. Other times not. In the end, I will follow my heart and loins, and go where the excitement is. So look for adventures from there in the next six to seven months. Yeah, I'm a planner.
Ends up I like vodka sodas. Try them.
I was in Ann Arbor twice this month and saw Liz. She's doing very well, kicking some ass and more that you'd expect. Perhaps she'll update on here? Ahem. Ahem.
I'm more-than-words-can-describe excited for a vacation this July up on the Pacific Northwest. An entire week off from work. It's 2.5 more days off in a row than I've ever had. I'm a rebel, really.
For those keeping track, the Ross School of Business looks pretty crappy right now in its remodeling phase.
Take care, friends. I miss each and every one of you.

I've Been Set Free! Weeeeee

Ok, so Leslie has been emancipated as well. I recently found out that I will be moving to Chi (but not until September) as I will be going to Northwestern for journalism. A bit of a change, yes I know, but a very welcome one! So excited to escape corporate America (at least until I run out of money).
Other notable information, I will be leaving for my dream vacation on May 24th and will not return until June 10th (maybe?!?!?). I will be galavanting around Greece and Italy with my sister and mom. Greek islands followed by Rome and Tuscany/Florence (the picture is of the Tuscan countryside, ridiculous). So don't fret if I don't return any correspondence during this time.
Also...I will be at the lake in Traverse City for July and August. So anyone/everyone is welcome to visit during this time. Miss you all terribly!!
Love Les.

The Emancipation of Lo Is Coming
I will just do a brief posting since I have been a little MIA lately.
- My GMAT is on SATURDAY! Ah! So I took off Wednesday - Friday to just mentally prepare and relax. Just finished a full practice test (ugggh takes SO long). I'm very excited to think that Saturday will be the last day I sit for 4 hours taking a test (this is assuming I do well - which my positive attitude says I will!).
- Post GMAT life will be glorious. After my test I will immediately go find Leslie (she'll be wandering around downtown somewhere) and I will make her go get a drink with me. And then we will just play and have fun all weekend.
- Next weekend I'll be in NYC! We are going to see Erin's show in New Haven which will be excellent. Note to Nick - are we going to New Haven early by chance? I'd like to see Yale's campus / B-School and pick up some promotional materials.
- Memorial Day weekend I will be back in Michigan. Going to a wedding with Steve as well as just visiting the fam.
- And then the weekend after that I move into my new apartment!! I will be living all alone and I'm very excited. My new apt is supes cute and it'll be just down the street from my friend Lindsey
- Other summer highlights to come: 4th of July weekend up north in Michigan with Justin and friends, my birthday, Lollapalooza, Bre & Yuri move out here and then Leslie moves out here!!
So as you can see fantastic things await on the other end of my GMAT. I will see many of you soon in the upcoming weekends / months. Until then - hope all is going well for everyone!!

The Weekend Can Be Where The Week Begins
I will try and do something more personal than this for the lot of you for the birthday wishes, and that will take time. For quick gratification, here you are. Thank you!For my celebration, I went camping at Big Sur. It's a couple hours down the coast from where I live and it's a happy place. It's a calm place. I would like to live there, though it'd have to be in retirement due to its remoteness from civilization and cost. Think of the majestic Northern Michigan feel in the late summer with rocky/hill coastal cliffs instead of having flat beaches. And some salt water. There's an ocean nearby or something.
To be concise to a point, you'll see I've added
Hey, check out Songza.com if you have some music in your head. It's quite manual but it's very useful. They even have Tally Hall.
Speaking of odd things. I finally met someone I've worked with hours on end over the phone and email for the last year and a half. All I had was a voice and name. This changes everything.
If anyone stops by Nebraska for the April 4-6 weekend, I need a wedding date.
What's new with everyone else? Come, tell stories of your adventures.
Food time!
